Description
All prestige upgrades cost runestones. The only crystal sinks are purchasable equipment items with a total maximum cost of approximately 125 million crystals. However, bosses in Zone 7+ drop far more crystals than can ever be spent, especially with the crystal prestige multipliers (up to ×250). Zone 12 bosses already award ~3e20 crystals per kill, and late-game bosses award up to 5e139.
By mid-game (~Zone 7), players have purchased all purchasable crystal equipment and crystals accumulate infinitely with nowhere to spend them. Crystals become a meaningless resource for the vast majority of the game.
Proposed Fix
Significantly reduce crystal rewards on bosses in Zone 7+. Crystals are an early-game currency and late-game bosses do not need to award them at their current scale.
