Description

The Discord bot prestige announcement is sent twice in quick succession for a single prestige event. The duplicate messages appear at the same prestige level for the same player.

The reporter suspects this may be triggered by refreshing the page around the time of prestige, or potentially a double-click on the prestige button — but this has not been confirmed.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Trigger a prestige (possibly after a page refresh near the prestige point, or via double-click)
  2. Observe the bot announcement channel — two identical prestige notifications appear

Expected Behaviour

Exactly one prestige announcement is posted per prestige event.

Actual Behaviour

Two identical announcements are posted, spamming the channel and suggesting the prestige action may be triggering twice.

Severity

Medium — cosmetic/spammy, but may indicate a double-trigger on the prestige action itself which could have gameplay consequences.
